The wind-chill is like, 0.

Hey all!

It's absolutely freezing outside. It was around 60 on Monday, despite the wind and rain, but after that the temperature DROPPED. I just walked to the MPK Chapel and back and I can't feel my ears. For some reason, the wind is a lot stronger walking back to Mohn. I'm not a science major, so I won't even try to understand why.

I got an A in my interim class, that's a piece of good news.

My classes are different this semester. I'm taking Popular Music with Dr. Butler (who recogn… Continue

The students of today

So I made it through the first week of classes, activities, and craziness. Whew. Don't get me wrong, I love it here and I love all of the activities that I participate in, but the first week is always a rough one.

Classes look like they're going to go well. I'm taking my last two math classes here at Albright, which is happy and sad at the same time. I'll be officially done with part of my major, but I know I'm going to miss the math just a bit. I'm also taking two education classes. I'm really… Continue

Anything Special?

On the first day of classes, professors often ask students, “Did any of you do anything special over the break?”

I always want to break the awkward silence but am hesitant to speak up.

It’s not because I’m shy to say something in class. It’s because I just went to Japan.

Visiting Japan seems to be exotic, and sounds like I did something special.

But I just went back home and did not do anything special except spending time with my family.

Well, I could relax and get ready for school for sur… Continue

Confused about a prank...

So it is 2:12am on my birthday! Wohoo yay for being 19. But so far I haven't been so happy. Two of my best friends (who are also my co-workers) and I were supposed to hang out and count down till my birthday. Well the one has an "early" class so she cancelled. I knew something was up when I received another text that said hey, we can hang out for a little. You see, my friends and I like to do pranks on each other and celebrate birthdays and events in special ways; or car decorating. They snuck u… Continue

Last Semester at Albright

Today was my first day of my last semester at Albright and then its off to the real world. I have a great tan to show off to everyone from my Hawaii course I took and had so much fun at! Its kind of a bittersweet feeling. I was very depressed leaving Maui and leaving behind the warm temperatures, warm, clear ocean water, tropical animals and fish. But on the other hand I'm really happy to see everyone back so we can have another great semester. Its my last semester I definitely want to make the… Continue

Spring is in the air!

So tomorrow begins my last spring semester at Albright College. I'm so excited but sad at the same time. After having the best interim EVER, I feel confident that my last semester is going to be amazing. I'm definitely going to leave Albright the way I came... with a bang!

I had an interview for an internship at this place called Performance Food Centers on Friday. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about my chances there, especially since their last intern came from Albright. His name is Matt, he's… Continue

The Stink Bug!

I just went to my class off campus last Wednesday for the first time. the class I am taking is a night class, so most of the students in the class are older adults. As introductions we each had to go around the room and tell a bit about ourselves as well as the reason we were interested in taking this course. The room was completely silent. all of the attention was on the person speaking. I looked down at my shirt, and there it was! I saw a big, green, ugly stink bug on my left shoulder. I tried… Continue

In the twilight of Winter Break...

Well, it's pretty much the end of Winter Break, and I'd be a liar if I said I'm not excited for school, well, not necessarily for school, but for a change of scenery. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my hometown of Philadelphia, but my life is kind of at Albright. I saw all of my friends, family, I went out and all the rest, but, I guess I am ready to hit the books after all. All those looking to pursue college remember this: once you hit college, you begin a whole new life, and while you'll stil… Continue

Free College cour$e!!!

I don't think I ever realize how long our break for Christmas and the New Year was until this semester because I usually take interim courses. We have off from December 18 until next week Jan 25. this is my last break before I have to graduate and "face the real world." Since I usually take interim (accelerated) courses I decided not to take one for my last semester. I am taking a class off campus. One class that I need for my major is not offered in the spring semester of my senior year, theref… Continue
