I walked out my front door this morning and was happily surprised to find out that it was fairly nice out! Much nicer than it has been, at least. But you can imagine I was even more surprised to find out that we are supposed to get a couple inches of snow tonight! I have heard 3-5 and 5-8 inches. WHAT?! I'm tired of this cold weather! Today was my second day in Sixth grade! AHHH! This is a very big change from my little first graders! There is so much more structure and the students actually sit quietly in their seats! It is definitely going to take come getting used to, but I will adjust. I guess I won't be doing any more spelling lessons with shaving cream :( But anyway, I am teaching English and reading! Tonight I finished my lesson plans for next week... my last lesson plans for my first placement :( I don't want to think about leaving this wonderful school! I was talking to my co-op teacher today and we were both very sad. I'm not ready to leave this school or my students. They have been so wonderful and have impacted me so much! I can't believe I am half way through student teaching. I'm going to be very sad when I have to leave :(See More

By no means am I trying to rush it, but as of this Friday, I will be half way through my first placement of student teaching! That is insane!! A professor once told me that I should take notes of everything that happens and she was right! I have the best stories! Oh the things first graders say! And even better than that is when I teach something and I get to see the look on their faces when they actually understand it!! I love this stuff :)

It's finally here... AS OF TOMORROW I WILL OFFICIALLY BE A STUDENT TEACHER! It is unbelievable that my four years at Albright is coming to an end. I am very excited, but I am also a little nervous! I have a first grade class for my first six weeks and then I have a sixth grade English class for six weeks. This really gives me a chance to cover both ends of the spectrum! I can't lie... I have had my bag packed and five outfits picked out for a week! I guess you could say I am a little excited:)

This finals week is my last finals week ever! With student teaching next semester I will not have finals again! I am very excited! I handed in one paper this morning and I am handing in another one this afternoon. Tomorrow I have my first actual final... duh duh duhhhh! Updates!
So I updated my life as a senior, but not everything else! I am about to finish student teaching, as I mentioned. I am still in sixth grade and I am going to miss them! They were very different from my first graders, but it was fun! I just received an invitation to the Awards and Honors Dinner! Yay! How fun! I am so excited! Then the following night we have our athletics banquet! It is going to be a busy next few weeks, but I am very excited!

April 26th?!
How is it already the end of April?! It doesn't seem possible! I have one week of student teaching left, as of today! I graduate in 3 weeks! I am about to experience my own senior week! WHAT?! I haven't even fully convinced myself that I am really a senior yet! I don't know when that will register. Maybe after I graduate and am no longer even a student. Time really does fly!

Sixth Grade!
