"Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful." from "A Walk to Remember"
"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her..."

Oh trust me Alice. I won't forget anything. I'm kinda perticular when it comes to packing. I see that you are a biochemistry major. How do you like that field? What career do you want to go into?
And what do you do for fun? Are you a part of any of the clubs on campus?

Oh That is Awesome!!! I can't wait to meet you and spend a great time with you on campus. My best friend from home, Paige Fetterly, is also scheduled for an overnight visit so I know this will be a ton of fun.

Alice,

Sorry I haven't responded. Didn't realize you had posted. Schedules usually are in your mailbox when you arrive for move-in, or mailed out a few days prior to move-in day. The lateness is due to the fact that we permit you to influence your schedule instead of mailing you a set schedule.

Hi Alice! Thanks for the pity comment. Hmm...Albright advice for an incoming freshman. You know, that was five years ago for me. Five years ago you were in junior high talking about pokemon or whatever it is that people do in Junior High. I'll tell you this. Everybody is in the same boat for the first few weeks. Some people will try to put on some "cool" image, acting like they own the place. But in reality, they're a bit scared. And there will be people who will be so warm and welcoming because they are scared too. Why? Nobody wants to eat lunch alone so everybody will try to make some fast friends. But remember that this quick chex mix of fast buddies does not necessarily mean that you are bound to them for life. I encourage you to see what everybody else is like. Everybody is in the same boat, so take advantage of it to meet new acquaintances. Also, don't use a tray in the cafeteria after orientation week.

Oh and don't compromise who you are to fit into something that isn't you. Albright is truly a fantastic place that has so many opportunities that you cannot find at big schools. If you're not a theater person, try out for a play. I did and LOVED it. Be involved on campus. It will make life so much better. Fall in love with the rec center. Don't blow all your Jake's bonus points in the first two months (you'll understand this more once you get there). I feel I have inundated your wild eyed wondering quite a bit. So I'll leave you with this: ENJOY YOUR FIRST YEAR!
