The crazy life....

I love my life, and yet it feels like it is psychotic most of the time.I'm definitely in my 5th week (I believe it's the 5th week...) of student teaching. I'm currently at a junior high school in Boyertown, and can I just say that I love it? I am with 8th graders all day long. Now, most people might just cringe at the thought of that, but I have really enjoyed being with them! Of course, teaching is no easy task, but the work is fun, though very time consuming!I work with two co-op teachers at…See More

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Well, it is nearly the end of break for those Albrightians heading back for Interim classes. However, for us very lazy ones, this is not true, though work will start with the commencement of Interim (so I guess that makes me not so lazy). I must admit that I am excited to again grace the wonderful sidewalks and buildings of Albright, though this time I come back without the excitement over classes to take. I will be student teaching this semester, and that is kind of a weird premise for me. I…See More

Secondary Methods II Assignments -- there are 2 of these... :(5. Read another 200 pages of an educational book for American Ed.…See More

"You know... as much as it was an awesome time to be out there, I don't know if I could deal with the gray, gloomy, rainy weather on a daily basis! It depressed me too much! The scenery is sooo neat, though, I know I will definitely head back…"

"How about trying Seattle for first-job-after-college applications? Might as well do it while you are young! Plenty of time to head back to the East Coast after you've worked our your first-year jitters!"

Seattle!

Hi, everyone! It has been a crazy past few weeks, and I am happy to say that it will continue to be crazy until the end of the semester. I think I will be bored over break! Anyway, just wanted to update you all --- this coming weekend I will be in Seattle for a special conference for Education students. I am getting to go through our PA State Education Association, and I am looking forward to having a good time. I'm busy getting together lesson plans and questions for our Spring Conference…See More

Halfway there

This weekend is fall break.I need it.Desperately.I feel like all I have been doing is running around for lots of things -- observations in the classroom (2 different schools!), class, homework, research for honors senior thesis paper, the list goes on! But, this fall break will not be spent relaxing. Instead, I am going to a concert for this wonderful, amazing group of men. Maybe you've heard of them? Celtic Thunder? Ohh yes, forgive me for watching watching PBS and being entranced by the…See More

the clock counts down...

Yes, it is definitely that time of the semester again... the days are numbered and few. Professors are realizing that we have just over 2 weeks of class left and they are trying to fit in as much information as possible! In some ways, I'm thrilled, in others I'm scared out of my mind! In 2 weeks, I will be taking my last set of final exams and then I will start my student teaching at the end of January. Don't get me wrong, I'm so thrilled to be in a classroom. My observations this semester have… Continue
