Half Way Over

2 months into school and 2 months left before coming home, this trip is going so fast! We went on a weekend excursion to Arles and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. This area is known as the Camargue and is popular for its bulls, white horses and flamingos! We visited the Roman Forum, Amphitheatre and Colloseum in Arles. It was so beautiful and…See More

Out on the town

It has officially been a month since we have been here in Aix!!! To celebrate, we went our clubbing and wanted to dance the night away. Some of us were still tired from partying the night before because we celebrated one of our girls host sister's birthday!! She turned 20 on Friday and we gave her an american surprise party! We had balloons dropped on her and my 'mate and I made chili, macaroni and cheese, 7 layer nacho dip and mozzerella sticks! We had a lot of fun and she was so surprised…See More

I'm having trouble speaking more of the language because there are so many people here who speak English, even the…See More

The First Week

Ever since arriving Sunday, this beautiful place of 300 days of sunshine...has had rain every day for us, except Friday. This city is so alive and it is really easy to get around by foot. I am captivated by Aix and all I want to do is spend my time walking around getting to see everything and know the streets better. We have taken tours and taken our placement exams. I hiked a trail at St. Victoire yesterday and learned that this area is the greatest population of dinosaur fossils in the world!…See More
