It's been a while, but here I am again. Been busy with midterms and was in Kenya for Eid break.I had an amazing Eid break in Lamu Island, Kenya. I had to go home for Eid this year, one because Kenya is very close to Egypt and second, I have not had Eid with my family back in Kenya for so long. Alexandria was so much fun. It was only a 3 hour bus ride from Cairo. I went with the AUC ISA (International Student Affairs). Alex is completely different from Cairo. Back to school!I had an awesome week off with no school and I am not going to lie, it was such a great week. I slept a lot, I caught up on my readings for my classes, I hang out with friends (mostly Egyptians) and I explored Zamalek (the island on the Nile that I live on).The Administration and the Student Union at AUC reached an agreement that instead of the 7% tuition increase, it will now be 2.3% increase for the next three years. AUC: It's Madness
It's been a while, but here I am again. Been busy with midterms and was in Kenya for Eid break.

Classes Resume at AUC
Back to school!

Hi Kim! Things over here are not as great and I am sure you have heard about Morsy giving himself all the power. The Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafis (Pro-Morsy) people have been protesting since yesterday in Tahrir Square and today outside the Cairo University and I haven't been anywhere near those places.
I have been very busy since I came back from Eid break. I have so much to do in terms of presentations, papers, and exams, before I leave for the States, but I will surely miss Cairo.
