Matthew Ingber WOOO SPRING BREAK!!!!

So its has been forever since i posted and i figured now would be the best time because i'm on spring break. I just haven't had anytime to do anything the last month. Lets start with the fact of how there was so much snow and its gone....where'd it all go? Then the fact that people are wear less and less clothing around campus (good in some cases not in others). But Im happy about this weather because Albright seems to become a flower in bloom in the spring time.

The pond is

Jenn Definition of "Spring" .... red Adirondack Chairs

Lots of things speak 'Spring' to me.

Robins, short sleeves, the metallic crack of baseball bats on an afternoon.

But Friday .... Friday was the definition of Spring at Albright ....

at least to me.

I watched the grounds crew unload and powerwash the Red Chairs in the morning.

And by the time I left in the evening, those chairs were dry and blooming all around the campus:

in pairs, in circles, in solitary nooks.

Today the student

Kristine Lynn Maravel Reminiscing with my mother- first open house, first tour, freshmen move-in day

So it's spring break for the Albrightians and earlier today while eating the scones I baked (I discovered a new recipe for scones earlier this year and I'm mildly obsessed- I bake them at least twice a week) with my mother we began to reminisce about my first Albright experiences.

My first open house:
I came totally not interested in Albright so I brought my coloring book (I was in a big coloring book stage when I was a senior in high school) and my mother and father came with… Continue

Matt Palmiere The Day My March Madness Bracket Died

So, if any of you follow college basketball, you've filled out your bracket for the tournament. It took me days to finally settle on my picks....I mapped out my upsets...weighed my final four...and picked Kansas as the champ.

Today is day one, and I'm already in the toilet as far as picks.

I picked one big upset: UTEP over Butler...and that did not happen. I also did not pick Murray State to upset...nor St. Mary...nor Northern Iowa....nor Old Dominion...and Georgetown went down… Continue

Amanda Garcia Vegas for Spring Break

In my final spring break ever ;gasp; I've been vacationing in Las Vegas!!! It's been tons of fun... it's crazy because I had a bartender the other night who asked me where I went to school and I said Albright, and he knew about our football field and was telling me about how great our stadium was. He gave my roommates and me free drinks... one has to wonder was it because we were ladies or because we went to Albright.... maybe both!

Sam Norwich General Question About College Athletics

I will be attending college somewhere next year (2011) and want to participate in athletics. I play golf and am doing pretty well. Our team finished last year 55-1. Anyway, what do colleges do about individual health insurance for athletes. My father lost his job and we currently don't have our own insurance. I was just wondering if the college covered it's athletes in the event of an injury. Thanks. Continue

Chelsea Davis Bad Day Turned Good! :)

Hey Everyone!

So today started off AWFUL! I had to get up at 7 AM to go take one of my THREE midterms of the day. I was not a happy camper. On top of that, I've been letting a lot of the little things get to me, and today was sure to be my breaking point. I came back to my room after taking my second midterm of the day and checked my e-mail. There, in my inbox, was an e-mail from Loren Morgan. It was titled Congratulations! And I thought, could it be? Sure enough, I was chose

Kristine Lynn Maravel Open House and Cookies

So I attended my first open house since returning home from Paris and I was expecting hectic, lost families, and Albright cookies.

The only thing that was true about that statement was the cookies.

Albright bakes such wonderful cookies- I actually get pumped when they put them out during the Open House. Also, the Open House ran so smoothly! I sat with two families during brunch. Anthony was a biology major interested in playing golf and Morgan was an environmental studies major

Chris Boehm A Polar Bear Ponding!

Karina Grossman '13 is a very smart young lady. So I'm wondering why she mentioned to someone at Saturday's accepted student Preview Day that it was her birthday? Did I say Karina was smart? That might be an understatement, she's attending Albright on a full academic scholarship. So I ask the question a

April Jones Freshman Year: Coming to an end...

Oh wow! I can't believe that freshman year is almost over. I remember when I was so excited over a year ago about getting accepted here. I've met some really cool and wonderful people here. I'm just so glad that I chose to come here (well, it was the only school that I applied to...I don't recommend that).

Over the past months of being here at Albright I have:

-Wrote a play that will be performed in April in the Wachovia Theatre

-Made lovable friends

Matt Palmiere Thanks to Dr. Catone, I know believe .9999 equals 1

So, I have to retract my earlier statements against Jeff Plummer's major. Jeff took me to see Dr. Catone, who explained to me how .9999 (repeating) is 1. He told me that .9999 repeats on infinitely, but eventually it will equal one. My logic? It's infinite! It never ends.

He then proceeded to show me an example, that if it were physically possible, my mind would have exploded. He drew a square on the board and shaded 90% of it (for .9). He then shaded 90% of the re
