Attention students of Albright. I just wanted to let everyone know that our game starts at 12 on Saturday. I hope anyone who lives or is willing to drive to Doylestown Pa. This is the second round of the playoffs for us and it would be great to see as many people there as possible. This is also a huge game because it is the second time in Albright history that the football team will be going to the second round of the national playoffs. Another great reason to go is because of the fact Delaware…

So my life last week was kind of hectic, but luckily, I made it through. Last Friday, I went to the Domino Player’s (Albright’s Theatre Company) presentation of The Miser. It was a great performance that had the audience engaged the whole time. Every production that the Domino Players have presented since I have been at Albright has been phenomenal.
Saturday was our second fall open house. I met so many great families and gave a lot of great tours. The families were very engaged in the tours, w…

Well, as many as you probably know, I already have pretty short hair. So when my friend Tyler Parmer suggested we do a 'head shaving' fundraiser to raise money for Livestrong, I said "Sure, I'll shave my head, it won't be any different".
Of course with these types of fundraisers there is never one 'winner', we all made the decision to join Andy Behler, the true winner, and shave our heads together:

My roommate and I decided to take a little getaway and go to Barcelona this week.
After class on Tuesday, we took a bus to the airport, and boarded the plane.
Now, this was my first experience with RyanAir and I always heard "horror" stories of how they could make more money off of young travelers. Here are a few examples- if you do not print out your boarding pass, it could result in a 40 euro fee, if you you want to check a bag, it could become 30-70 euro fee, and if you want to go to the bat…

A friend and I bought tickets to the 12:02 show..we pulled up to the theater after cheerleading practice at 10:30 and the line was already out the door! It was insane..but we were hungry so we went to Applebees first! Yes, it is definitely that time of the semester again... the days are numbered and few. Professors are realizing that we have just over 2 weeks of class left and they are trying to fit in as much information as possible! In some ways, I'm thrilled, in others I'm scared out of my mind! In 2 weeks, I will be taking my last set of final exams and then I will start my student teaching at the end of January. Don't get me wrong, I'm so thrilled to be in a classroom. My observations this semester have…

It's getting really busy to say the least. We've hit the part of the semester where everything seems to hit us all at once...
Pledging has been time consuming, but fun at the same time. Last week I had two tests, and this week two more. One of the tests this week was on Monday so only one more to go...and that's on Friday. Problem is it's in my abstract algebra class, which is really hard, so I'm nervous for it. Just going to have to hit the books. I also have a 10 page math paper to write, a u…

I mean that in a good way!
It's a busy 'nother couple of weeks. Most of it is fraternity events, we're doing a 'headshaving' fundraiser in which I'm participating....but I won't win because my hair is already pretty short.
Otherwise it's the peak of the semester and the papers and exams are piling up. I used to be able to nap every afternoon but lately I've been using that time to get work done before my nightly meetings and events.
Enough about my busy life, how about those Packers? Aaron Ro…

I've been to graduations, air band competitions, championship basketball games, and presidential inaugurations at Albright; however I think the International Student Dinner I attended last night may have been my most enjoyable Albright function EVER! The cafe was packed! I'd estimate 600 students, faculty, and employees and their families attended. Not only did I get to try some food from different countries (cooked by the students from those countries) but we also watched ISA member perform son…

So tonight my roommate bursted out in random thought (like she does most days) and declared she wanted us to turn our dorm room into a fort for finals week. Yes I repeat build a fort! I started laughing at her but it definitely got me thinking about how we could be building a really cool fort using every item in our room including the tv, rope lights, and microfridge. lol i even mentioned creating our own solar system! I think the part that made this conversation even funnier is the fact that sh…

My fall travels to high schools have ended. And while the leaves on the trees are changing outside, the admission office appears very similar to the way it did last year. Applications are everywhere! It's almost impossible to keep up. We are running up about 3% from last year's 26% increase so everyone is knee deep in reading and updated files, and calling students. Fall admission programs are running well, hope to see some of you at the Visual, Design, and Performing Arts Day tomorrow.

So I'm sure everyone knows that the Albright Lions football team is 8-0 right now and going into a huge game against Delaware Valley this weekend (Saturday at 1 pm). Although I am not playing do to red-shirting this year I am happy to say that my boys are taking car e of business and i hope that some of you can make it to the game. This is by far the biggest game of the year because of a new formed rivalry between your Lions and Del Val. For those of you who are freshman and for those of you who…

Tonight starts the official kick-off of Alpha Delta Pi’s Rock-A-Thon. What’s a Rock-a-Thon? Well, it is where the sisters of ADPi continuously rock for 72 hours, from tonight at 8 PM, until Friday at 8 PM. There are always 3 sisters rocking at the same time. All the money that we raise goes to the Ronald McDonald House, our philanthropy.
The best part about Rock-A-Thon is that the whole Albright Community gets involved. Different organizations around campus bring us hot chocolate and coffee as…

Hi, everyone! It has been a crazy past few weeks, and I am happy to say that it will continue to be crazy until the end of the semester. I think I will be bored over break! Anyway, just wanted to update you all --- this coming weekend I will be in Seattle for a special conference for Education students. Things have been pretty crazy the past couple of weeks, so I'm going to recap some of the highlights.
Classes have been going well. They are all starting to get busy at the same time as well as all of my activities, but I'm just going to have to fight through it. Last weekend I went to see Saw 6 with a group of friends, and the movie was very good. So if you are a Saw fan and have not seen the new movie, I recommend it. I love those types of movies that keep you guessing throughout the movie, t…
