I'm such a terrible face! :(

I haven't blogged in so long! Ughhhh I should be ashamed of myself. Anyways, I've been super busy this semester. I have a lot going on and it's nice to finally have a chance to sit down and blog. Yesterday was my dearest roomie's birthday, and despite the cold weather and green water, she got PONDED! Unfortunately, I wasn't around to see it, but I heard that she put up one big fight. That's one of the things that I love about springtime at Albright. Seeing a ponding becomes a daily routine.…

I'm a Big Girl Now

This morning when I woke up, I put on my big girl suit and traveled an hour to a day fulled of long lines and meeting lots of people. Today was Teacher Recruitment Day at Millersville University and school districts from a couple of states came down to try and recruit teachers to their area. It was such a great experience. I was able to hand out my resume to a couple of different school districts and actually got an on-the-spot interview at one! I was so nervous to start but once the…

i got..... ponded!

Yesterday was my birthday and even though I was determined to stay dry, I got ponded, of course! I was not happy about it at the time, it was all in good fun. I put up a great fight though! I struggled for a good 15 minutes while everyone watched and laughed at me.. cool. The pond was green and absolutely freezing! But, my friends had a towel waiting for me as soon as I went in. Then I walked…

Final four festivities!

So I'm really pumped about the Final Four this weekend!  It's going to be awesome going out with my friends to watch the games!  Watching the Final Four is going to give me a much needed break, especially from my senior thesis work and other papers for various classes!

AAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was thinking about what I wanted to blog about, I couldn't come up with anything else but the one thought that has been replaying itself non-stop in my brain for the past couple of weeks--GRADUATION!!! Of course it's been on my mind all year but as we inch closer and closer to May, I have become almost obsessed with it.

What's next?

Will I actually accomplish what I've been working so hard for?

Which graduate school will I be… Continue

CRAZY TIMES AT THE BRIGHT

Ever been to  Albright in the spring time? If you haven't, it's a sight to see. This is the time when all of the students are starting to scramble. The seniors are bittersweet about everything because they are doing some things for the last time. Then there are underclassmen who are sad because their senior friends are leaving. Needless to say, I've seen my fair share of cry fests over the last two…

T-MINUS 54 days

Graduation is just right around the corner!!! T-Minus 54 days til I can finally put on that last cap and gown and accept my last diploma!! I am very eager to finally graduate from college and be in "big-girl" life. I have already started my preperation for post-graduation.

Such as:

Today, my dad came up so that he and I could go apartment shopping. I am staying in the Reading area after I graduate due to employment purposes.

Yes, I DO HAVE A JOB AFTER…

Spring Break.... in the Bahamas!

So imagine this.... its the middle of winter, but you are lying on the beach in your swim suit, and the only worry that you have is whether or not you put enough sunscreen on this morning.  That image, was my Spring Break.

So it's been just about a week since my return from my paradise at sea, but my heart is still on Royal Carribbean's Enchantment of the Seas.  This boat was amazing, not to mention, that I was was on it with some pretty amazing friends.

Our ship had…

It's The Small Things That Count...

College can be a very stressful place. Battling with papers and busy work schedules and trying to find time for yourself can really cause a person to suffer.

But every so often, little things that people do really make your day and make it easier for you to get through the day.

Last week, that moment for me was getting an authentic 1 dollar bill from the Bahamas from a man I didn't know. No, it wasn't just a stranger on the street, it was actually a customer…

my life is crazy!!

My life is absolutely crazy right now!! I have so much to do.

As I said before, I'm taking five classes. My EDU Science Methods class is definitely kicking into gear lately, we have our unit due. A unit is a group of lessons that you would teach over the course of a few days (mine is 10) one one subject or…

Technology is a Wonderful Thing...........

Except when used incorrectly.  Our Information Technology staff has a saying when someone makes a mistake when using technology and technology isn't to blame.  The call it a PICNIC - Problem in Chair, Not in Computer.  Every year stories come out of colleges and universities accidently offering admission to students through mistakes.  Here are a few"

Spring Break

All I have to say is that this has been a wonderful break. I went down to Miami Florida with my girlfriend and her sister. We had a blast. The Spring never felt so good. Although, my allergies were irritated once we reached Florida. That did not keep me from enjoying myself though.

Spring break so far...

St. Patrick's day...March Madness...spring break for Albright college. Fortunately for me, I am still on campus though. Last Friday, I embarked on tour with the Mane Men and Albright Angels to New Jersey to sing, and until this past Monday, we've been singing in Delaware and Maryland...it was quite the fun times. My first tour with the ensemble groups was very much exciting as we spent a number of hours hanging out on the bus until… Continue

My first day in 3rd Grade.

One word AMAZING. Seven words: remember for the rest of my life. In these two phrases I would have to say sums up my first experience student teaching. It was a adventure to remember and it makes me excited about my next placement. For my first placement I was in a small multi-disabilities room that had a wide range of disabilities and focused on a lot of individual and small group instruction. For my next placement I will be diving into third grade regular education and will be doing a lot…

Who is Margaret Wigiser??

So right now I am enjoying some downtime while I'm in Fort Myers, FL with the softball team and I wanted let everyone know that we have been involved in some pretty close games, but we have only won one so far. I'm hoping for another win in our double header tomorrow!

But anyway.. something really cool happened on Tuesday. If you haven't seen the movie A League of Their Own, you definitely have to put that on your to-do list! For those of you who haven't seen it, it is basically a…

Albright Softball!!

So this weekend Albright softball went to Virginia Beach for a tournament and we came back with a winning record!! I'm so proud to say that :) I have high hopes for the season and I cannot wait for our spring break trip! We leave on saturday for Floriday and come home next friday. I. AM. PUMPED.

I definitely think it's worth it to play a sport in college. You get the opportunity to not only be doing something you love, but you also get a chance to bond with people who share a lot of…

Solid Advice About Financial Aid Awards

The FAFSAs are in and if you applied to a rolling admission, EA, or ED school you are probably receiving financial aid awards.  For many families the information in the award letters will make or break where a student enrolls.  Not all awards are presented the same and sometimes the information provided can be down right confusing.  This article is nice and provides very basic things to look and account for when reviewing your award.

Sunny Days and Doo-Wop Music

So...after about a month on non-stop busy, I can relax.

I woke up this morning and took a little time to myself.

I straightened my hair.

Went to breakfast.

Got some Hot Tea.

Now I'm sitting at the windows at Jakes Java and staring peacefully out into the beautiful sunny morning listening to Doo-Wop (The Elegants at the moment) and enjoying my day.

It feels good to relax a little bit. Well deserved.

Don't forget to take time…
