Finally in my homely abode in Georgia, and nothing is better than sleeping in 'til the afternoon and chilling out for the remainder of the day. For two weeks, I shall exert the maximum amount of catchin' some southern sunshine and momma Trujillo's home cooking. What else do I have planned for the summer? Well, at some point (June 12th to be exact), round 2 of Summer Conferences will occupy my summer time. It was a good work…

So...here we are...the week before finals. Soooo many things going on, so little time. But the reality is, second semester of my sophomore year is almost complete. I've got my last choir concert this saturday and then begins the days of cramming vast amounts of knowledge into my brain for final exams. I've really had so much good experience this semester though, between working in the Admissions office and seeing new prospective… Continue

So here we are...almost three weeks left of school, and spring is still elusive around here I think. Been a little too chilly and rainy but it ain't been all that bad here. What's been shaking here--well I'll tell you. My older brother just got home from Afghanistan and stayed with me from last Thursday til Tuesday. I may or may not tried persuading him to look for college up in this area known as Albright college. He really did enjoy it here, I took him with some of my friends out to the Greek…

St. Patrick's day...March Madness...spring break for Albright college. Fortunately for me, I am still on campus though. Last Friday, I embarked on tour with the Mane Men and Albright Angels to New Jersey to sing, and until this past Monday, we've been singing in Delaware and Maryland...it was quite the fun times. My first tour with the ensemble groups was very much exciting as we spent a number of hours hanging out on the bus until… Continue

I would like to mention that this past weekend, one of my brothers in the Army returned home from Afghanistan. Over a nice dinner with the parentals at Ft. Campbell, KY, my brother nonchalantly, yet humbly, announced that he was awarded the Medal of Valor for his actions and bravery in one of many firefights in Afghanistan. Though I am states away from him, I am very much proud of him and those who also serve in… Continue

well well, it's been a good start of spring semester. First day of classes went well, then all of a sudden, mother nature provided some ample snow fall for the week, which was pretty sweet. Haven't had a legitimate cancellation of classes (other than if the whole school was canceled) from the professors, so it was nice to chill out in the room and sleep in a we-bit. Then for the past two days, I didn't have class again, Tuesday being… Continue

It snowed down in the South for Christmas...can't really convey or stress enough how rare that ever happens for the Southerners. Out of all places to have a White Christmas, it happened here in Georgia, and it was nonetheless awesome to see...and also, some people should stay off the roads, just going to subtly throw that out there. Anyways, between Christmas Eve and Day, it was uneventful but who says not doing much isn't fun? … Continue

Wednesday night...the weight of homework still heavy...but Thanksgiving break is right around the corner. A much needed break..well actually, hibernation is in order. Been slavin' away between English 201 and Sociology 195 papers, practicing music for Mane Men and Concert Choir, workin and workin some more. Registered for classes next semester today as well, can't wait to get my classes rolling toward Criminology (sorry English co-concentration, but the DEA sounds like a purty cool job) and…

Well, here we are...the fine month of October. Since the good weather finally made a grand appearance this morning, it makes the past few weeks of chilly and rainy days just forgettable. So far, classes have been runnin' pretty smooth, nothing too extravagant yet. This weekend is going to have sooo much happenin'. I know for me, I'm going to be singing for the alumni dinner tonight with the Mane Men, followed by tomorrow, Saturday morning to be specific, working with Admissions for the whole…

Alas, the summer ends and Albright begins...again. First day of classes went extremely well, my schedule isn't back-to-back like it was last year. Since the conclusion of work for Summer Conference Staff, I returned home to Georgia. It was quite the mini-vacation home--my older brother had mid-tour vacation from Afghanistan, thus we did a lot of chillin'. Also, my little brother started college before I did, so the Trujillo clan made the journey to Laurinburg, NC, to get him… Continue

Well, it's about mid-July and everythin' is going pretty well, can't complain. Working on the Summer Conference staff has been quite the work as well, but overall it's great. People come to this campus from other parts of the nation and even the world to play basketball or jam out on some choir/band music. Best part was checking-out one basketball group for Hoop Group and they were from Puerto Rico....so add the FIFA 3rd place match Germany vs. Uruguay plus that Sunday for the World Cup, it was…

Alas, the beginning year of college is completed. It certainly was exciting as was exhausting, from meeting new people to organizing and finishing class work. Ah yes, freshman year was very much awesome and as I dawned upon a new adventure in life, Albright certainly allowed me to explore all that I can, from academics to weekend trips to Broadway.
First off, my name is Brendan Trujillo. I hail from the land of sweet peaches, southern drawl, and Jimmy Carter...otherwise known as…
