A Pond-less Birthday!

Ok, so I’m a little nervous to write this one…just because I happened to get lucky on my birthday this past Friday. I managed to make it through my birthday WITHOUT getting in the pond this year! This brings me up to only getting ponded (for birthday reasons) once!

                Freshman year I was lucky because the pond was under construction. As many of you know, our beautiful pond area went through some changes a few years ago. So thanks to the construction I got to coast through my first year of college without getting thrown in! Although…my lovely friends decided to prepare some water balloons and attack me at the end of the day…but I’m not counting that!

                Last year was the only time I was successfully ponded. I was in my friends’ and fellow Faces’, Stephen Thomas and Alex Zernechel’s room and they decided to be nice and tell me they were going to pond me. Now it was only, like, 12:02 on my birthday…it was completely unnecessary! And there wasn’t even any way for me to get out of it. Stephen and Alex are much taller than me and much stronger. So they gave me the option to either walk over or they could carry me…needless to say, I walked. It wasn’t the worst thing ever…but UNECESSARY!

                This year was my 21^st birthday, so I guess people were a little preoccupied with other aspects of it. But I am more than happy to let it slide this year! Besides, it’s kind of chilly out so I’ll just have to get over it! I’m just hoping this blog doesn’t backfire on me…………haha!
