Hi guys, I know its been a while, but the museum has still been pretty hectic. After successfully getting all 4 shows of Reading Gone Wild off the ground, we had a re-opening of our Native American Gallery. The gallery was completely renovated and updated, and the displays refreshed. It looks great and I really recommend everyone stop by. There is also lots of new artwork being installed in our Modern and Contemporary Art gallery that looks great. Now that things have quieted down I have been able to work on organizing some of the works in storage and other organizational stuff. Since I am also in the process of filling out graduate school applications and writing personal statements I have been doing a lot of thinking about my internship. I have realized how much I have learned and how much I have really enjoyed my time at Reading Public Museum. I have gained so much experience that has confirmed in me the fact that this is what I want to do with my life. This is why internships are so important no matter what your major or career plans. While you may really enjoying learning material in a classroom, the only way to truly decide whether or not something is right for you is to get hands on experience, and internships are the best way to accomplish this.
