Getting Ready for Junior Year!

It’s so surreal that there is only one week left until I officially start my junior year! My roommate and I went back to school shopping last night, so I have all of my folders, notebooks, and everything else! I felt like a total bargain shopper…I made it out for under $20! Granted, I bought the cheapest stuff they had, but I’m not complaining.

I always get really excited right before the semester starts because every semester has been so different. Some may have been better than others at times, but I have had nothing but amazing learning experiences over the past two years. Every semester starts off with a very different feel and this semester is feeling like a good one! I don’t think I’ve ever been so pumped for school to start...does that sound nerdy? OH WELL!

My classes this semester consist of Acting Studio II with Dr. Matt Fotis, Great Ages of Theatre II with Dr. Julia Matthews, General Psychology with Dr. Ronald Green, and Critical Thinking with Dr. Lisa Bellantoni. This will be one of the first semesters where I don’t know almost all of my professors going into the semester. I have worked a lot with Julia through theatre, but Matt Fotis is new this year, and I’ve never taken a psych or philosophy class before. So, this should be interesting!

I think that I’m most looking forward to my Critical Thinking class. One of the Albright Alumni admission counselors suggested the class to me. She said it was one of her favorite classes here and she actually enjoyed writing the papers. I ‘m excited to see what she was talking about and open my mind a little bit more. Apparently I’ll have to if I want to do well. You have to be able to look at a situation from every angle in this class. I can’t wait!

So much is happening in the next two weeks. The new class moves in, classes start, Bobrauschenbergamerica auditions, and Mane Men auditions all in two weeks! I’m sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’M SO EXCITED!
