Ok, so apparently, I'm bad at doing this once a month, but I'm working on it! Not a ton to report. I'm so happy to be back at Albright, but it has been extremely hectic. One of my biggest pieces of advice to give to students who hope to be active on campus is to use your Student Government Association (SGA). The purpose of the SGA is to serve the student body and student organizations. They want you to succeed and make a difference on campus and are totally approachable. Either way, use them. Much like your local politicians, if you elect them (you should always vote), make use of them!
To summarize the past month or so:
POPs was awesome! I love my groupies...
Taking on 5 classes is a bit daunting, but hopefully doable
Model United Nations is working with some of the administrative offices and the Political Science Department to act as a liaison between Albright and her sister school, which is home to thousands of Darfuri refugees, in Chad
ECO is constantly moving to make Albright more environmentally friendly.
The Science Center is almost done!!! I only have one class in there on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but it is so cool! Speaking of the sciences, Dr. Mech is by far one of the best teachers on campus. He is so enthusiastic and should be given credit for being one of the only teachers here capable of keeping me awake in an 8:00 am class on a regular basis...
SGA Allocations was crazy, but fun at the same time!
Finally, do as I say, not as I do because I am totally writing this blog while in class :/
And your monthly inspirational quote (I got this from a fortune cookie):
Your greatest aspirations will soon be realized...
