The first annual Albright Hunger Games was held today and it was so much fun!! You may be thinking that I am either crazy or incredibly nerdy but seriously it was awesome. Fellow ambassadors Shannon Rowe, Chrissy Candelora, Kari Keller, and Sean O'Neill joined me in the HUNGER GAMES!!!!! Don't fret, we didn't actually kill anyone, but what we did do was divide ourselves into careers and tributes. The careers had to search campus for the tributes. Everyone that came had to bring a weapon (Kari and I brought croquet mallets). The weapons were all piled in the middle of science field and then we had the Reaping. Names were drawn from a cup to pick out the careers, which I was lucky enough to be chosen as. We then circled around the weapons, counted down from ten, and then went into the "cornucopia" for our weapons. The way to "kill" a tribute was by hitting someplace on their body with your weapon. The tributes were given a couple minutes to spread out and find a hiding place before we were allowed to go hunting! Shannon won the first game because she was the last tribute standing. She came out of her bush covered in mud and leaves...she went all out! Then we all switched roles so I became a tribute. I wish I had a picture of the start of the second round. It was crazy intense...pouring rain with eleven people circled around weapons crouched ready to sprint shouting at each other with a countdown of ten seconds. Epic to say the least!! It was so much fun! I was the second to last tribute to be "killed" in the second round. Afterwards Shannon named me as head gamemaker for next year's hunger games. It is going to be great so I hope the new class is just as obsessed as we all are!! It was a great last day of finals!
