Juneuary?

Woah! Since when is it July already? I have been so ridiculously busy I don't think I've been on my computer, let alone Facebook, in literally a month.

It has been so cold here that the weathermen and all of us Western Washingtonians have dubbed June "Juneuary." Of course I brought home all my shorts and tank tops so I've been freezing my butt off when it's a lovely 50 degrees in the morning. Now that it's July though it should be getting better!

I started my internship at the EMP on the 18th and so far it has been fantastic! I was expecting to have to be sort of an office slave and make lots of coffee runs and copies. I was so wrong! The first day I got there, my boss Kristen showed me to my WORKSTATION and set me up with my very own EMP EMAIL!! I have my own little desk and computer and email and everything! I feel like such a big girl minus the getting paid part. It's totally awesome though because I do tons of research for events like the Fashionably Undead Bash: a huge Halloween costume part in October to honor the horror exhibit at the EMP, as well as the Science Fiction + Fantasty Short Film Festival. It's pretty rad, as my coworkers would say.

I've also been super busy coaching. Even though our season is over a month long it feels like it has just been flying by. We only have two more weeks of dual meets left before our championships! I hope the kids are ready to swim their butts off.

I can honestly say I've got the best of both worlds this summer: a paying job that I love and a big girl internship that's giving me amazing real world experience in my industry of choice! Now if only I had more of a social life... =)
