I'm super sad to say that I will be wrapping up my internship at the EMP a week from today. =[  It has been such an awesome experience and I cannot wait to add it to my resume! I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity.

This week has been all about LEATHER!!! In the fall a new exhibit is coming to the museum called Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket. It's all about how this fabulous piece of clothing has become so iconic in rock & roll and especially with Harley Davidson and motorcyclists. What that means for me is that I have been doing a ton of research on designers, where to buy jackets, what other awesome things can be made out of leather, and other super cool stuff. Basically it has got me hooked on finding myself  a leather jacket. I mean just look at some of these: http://www.ozencompany.com/#!womens-jackets

The designer is named Aykut Ozen and he designs and helps makes these himself! Aren't they fantastic? Some of his pieces are being featured in the opening fashion show. And look at this dress! http://mswoodboutique.com/store/dresses/leather-fringe-dress/

Now you can't tell me it wouldn't be cool to rock this baby for just one night out. It's designed by Ms. Wood who will also be presenting at the fashion show. Needless to say I'm obsessed. If you find any awesome leather jackets in the price range of a semi-poor college student, please let me know. I'm dying for one!

Besides drooling over leather all day and wishing I had an unlimited budget, I've been nannying for two kids. I've decided it's pretty awesome being a 7 year old. Yesterday I played battleship, made a paper heart card for my parents, watched the movie Air Buddies, blew bubbles, and kicked around a soccer ball. I'd call that a pretty fun day. The daughter gets to sleep in and take horse back riding lessons while the son and I are doing all of these activities. Can you say lucky kids?!

With nannying and the EMP I've been keeping super busy and haven't really had a break since swim season ended. I'm definitely crossing my fingers for some quality down time before school starts. Wish me luck and go check out some leather!
