I landed in Germany on August 30th and have been having an amazing time since I stepped off the plane! This is my first blog and so much has happened already so I will try my best to sum it all up! I spent my first week walking around Reutlingen, the city where the school I am studying abroad at is located! They had a wine festival and the locals have been really nice, even inviting me to join them at a table when they saw I was alone! (They spoke english).
I have been on three major trips so far to Tubingen to take a gondola tour down a river, Heidelberg to see a huge 15th century castle, and Constance where a took a boat ride on the biggest lake in Germany! I have made so many great friends here and have only met two other Americans on my journeys. It is amazing how understanding everyone is and how much I am learning about not only the Germany cultures but cultures from all around the world!
As far as studies go I am in my last week of an intensive German Language course. Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch, aber ich lerne! (I speak a little german but I am learning) My business classes start next Monday so I will be telling you all about that as it gets closer. I am missing my friends and teachers at Albright but I am excited to come home with the stories of my adventures as I continue this journey.
