Albright College

Does anyone else feel like September just flew by? I honestly have no idea where it went! I have been so crazy busy these past couple weeks and it has been stressful at times but it's also been lots of fun.

Two weeks ago I went out with some of my roommates to one of the alumni dinners sponsored by the college. We went to Viva!, the local Italian restaurant, and met Dr. Douglas who is a retired Ob/Gyn. There was a group of about 10 of us there and it was fun to hear what everyone was studying and to hear Dr. Douglas's stories. He said that his record was delivering 12 babies all in 24 hours!! Now that's a busy day. That weekend we also went to DAYGLOW!!! For those of you who haven't heard of it it's basically a giant concert that's DJed and you get to dance and jump around. The best part though is that they bring out splatter paint! An hour into the concert they start throwing paint and they have these ginormous paint gums and buckets that they use so everyone just gets covered! It's like a giant tye dye fest only with splatter paint. It was so much fun, although the paint didn't taste very good. We also had a mixer for the girls swim team with one of the fraternities Pi Kappa Phi. It was really chill and we all just hung out, danced, and mingled the night away. They're cool guys and we always like having fun with them.

This past week things didn't slow down either. I had 2 tests on Tuesday and a presentation on Friday! It was pretty stressful but I made it! My presentation was a one-on-one selling presentation with my professor for my favorite class Principles of Selling. I got to act out a mock sales pitch in which he was pretending to be the owner of a sports retail store and I was trying to get him to stock my Speedo racing swimsuits in his store. Although I was nervous it actually went really well and I got him to "book me for a followup appointment" which was the goal of my pitch! I won't get my grade back till probably this week but he did have really good feedback for me which is awesome. With all the craziness of classes it was fantastic to be able to go out for another Senior Night on Saturday. We got bussed up to an outdoor bar called Captain's Cove and it was so cool! It's all outdoors and it's pirate themed so there are tiki torches and pirate statues and a big outdoor grill. A lot of our class came and it was super fun just hanging out and mingling. Definitely a good end to the week.

Morning practice for swimming starts on Tuesday so things are going to get even more busy. No rest for the weary that's for sure. But I will definitely try to keep you guys posted on what's going on! Happy October though! If you have any good ideas for a sick Halloween costume please let me know! I'm currently taking any creative and wonderful ideas for contemplation =]
