Albright College

Happy December 1! I am officially fifteen days away from freedom and relaxation!

Things to accomplish:
BIO316 (Conservation Biology) Research Paper due Monday, December 6
ANT204 (Intro. to Anthropology) Ethnography due Monday, December 6
ANT285 (The Human Animal) two more fourth-hour paper
ECO224 (Environmental Economics) Research Paper due ?
SOC291 (Environmental Sociology) Final Reaction Paper, Book Review, and Bioneers Journals

What I'm going to do after 3:15 pm, Wednesday, December 15:
SLEEP!

Some tips to go green for the holidays:
Buy recycled wrapping paper-better yet, use newspaper
Buy someone an eco-friendly gift like an aluminum water bottle so as to promote eco-consciousness, limiting use of plastics.
Instead of purchasing a plastic tree from WalMart, invest in a real, locally-grown Christmas Tree if it is Christmas that you celebrate! Did you know that oil is a main ingredient in plastic production? So, investing in a fake tree could be considered an indirect way to support foreign oil in the Middle East and the consumption of a nonrenewable resource.
Re-gift! Ok, that may not be the best idea, but it's worth a shot.

That's all I have for now! Stay tuned for more "Go Green for the Holiday" tips in December and some exciting videos in January, posted from the beautiful island of Maui!
