I'm crossing my fingers that the power doesn't go out while I'm writing this ! We're currently getting just the beginning of Hurricane Sandy and it is starting to get crazy here. The rain and wind are really picking up and it is so dark outside you'd think it was already nighttime. Classes were cancelled today and tomorrow due to the unsafe weather conditions but of course we still had swim practice. MAC champions don't have time for hurricanes I suppose! Hopefully all of you stay safe where you are and don't get washed or blown away.

We had our first week of swim meets this past week and it went fantastic! We beat Leb Val on Tuesday and swam past Lyco on Saturday so we're off to a great start. Definitely setting the tone for another conference championship hopefully!

On Friday I also went to an etiquette dinner for Alpha Sig with Stephen. As a pledge, one of their activities is to put on a dinner for the rest of their fraternity and they're allowed to bring dates. They cooked chicken and pasta and had salad and cookies as well. It was a lot of fun and they did a great job cooking! We also did a mixer with Alpha Sig and our theme was "high school cliques". I dressed as a country girl with lots of camo and cowboy boots. There were nerds, jocks, cheerleaders, goths, and hipsters everywhere! We had a fabulous time.

I'm going to sign off before this storm gets too bad but hopefully I'll be able to write again soon! Stay dry and may the odds be ever in your favor!
