Hello Everyone! My name is Brittany Bartok and I am going to be a junior at Albright this coming fall. I am a history/ secondary education major and I absolutely love that I am at Albright to accomplish this. I am also one of the new Faces, so you will continue to see me on the website as well as in some publications this year.
I would have to say I am a bubbly, happy- go- lucky, friendly girl who loves to smile and laugh. I love tradition, and I participate in plenty of Albright traditions on Campus. J I love history, and my ultimate goal is to be a 12th grade Government teacher and coach the high school softball team. I am a family-oriented kind of gal, so it was hard at first to leave home, but I quickly learned that I can have two homes in this world….one where my mommy and daddy and brother live in my small town of Montrose PA, and the other where my friends, teachers, and fellow Albrightians are, in the great city of Reading. I have traveled to Argentina twice, and I would love to travel to Italy and Ecuador in the future. I try to live my life by a few simple rules: do not live with regret, smile and laugh often, and follow your heart.
This summer I am working with my mom in her tax and accounting office… and before anyone gets all impressed or anything, my job is head paper shredder and file girl lol… my family also owns a blueberry farm. We own about 150 bushes and my brother and I are in charge of picking and delivering blueberries as soon as mid-July hits.
At the end of last semester I found a quote that I liked so much that I decided to make it my summer goal: “Summer’s filled with breaking the rules, standing apart, ignoring your head, and following your heart.” So needless to say, I am excited to blog and share my summer adventures with you all!
P.S. I love questions and I will be completely honest, so anyone who has any questions about Albright or College in general, please never hesitate to ask me!
