Albright College

August is a busy tour time of year for colleges and universities. I think that families realize that as soon as the school year starts there is little time for any activity that isn't already part of the structured schedule. We are averaging anywhere from 5 to 10 visitors a day as opposed to 2 or 3 in July.

I was walking across campus last Friday and ran into Taylor Mutschler's family on tour with one of our ambassadors, Kristine Maravel (a past Face of Albright!). I occasionally stop tours on campus to say hi, and when I saw mom videotaping from a distance I knew I had to try and run into them. Taylor, her sister, and dad were soaking up campus and mom was trailing behind with the camera making sure the visit was properly documented and could be referred to at a later date.

Found out that Taylor's from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, in western Pennsylvania and the family new an applicant from last year that I had gotten to know rather well. So it was a great meet and greet in the middle of campus.

After a little teasing mom was more than willing to pose for a picture, which you can see Taylor and her sister really enjoyed.

So if you are a high school student thinking about colleges get in the car and take a ride. We hope you visit Albright, and if you do, be prepared to have someone stop you on campus, video camera or not.

And remember, have fun during the visits.
