Where have you gone?

NYC is what I like to call “the place of endless possibilities.” A lot of establishments close a lot later than what I am used to back at school. It is great. You can have the urge to have a random midnight “snack,”  and find somewhere to go.

My best friends came up from Pennsylvania and we went to Soho to see this poetry club to see the acts and get some food. Come to find out the place was closing down that week. It did not have the type of “feel” we liked. We walked around town at 12 midnight. We found this great authentic Italian pizzeria/restaurant. We ordered s’more sundaes made with gelato instead of ice cream. They have a bar, brick oven pizza, and lots more.

I have gone to a movie premiere. I saw Tyler Perry in person! He was 5feet away from me! It was incredible. My cousin found these free tickets online and we waited for two hours before to be able to get in. HAHA it was first come, first serve. It was nice being able to see the actors and one of the first people to see the new Madea movie.

My favorite place to go is central park during the work week. I get out from the “city-business like” area and go into the calm area. There are people tanning, eating, going to the zoo in there, on the phone, etc. it is nice to have a piece of “home,” within the concrete jungle. I am a sub-urban girl. I am used to seeing the trees and I grew up doing mountain walks and such. I get to: do my homework, catch-up with my family and friends, rest my body, breather ‘fresh air’, eat, people watch, and listen to music.

I have gone to Bryant park at night and seen the nice water feature they have.

Times square- I cannot seem to get enough of it. I cannot wait to come back during the winter and see how it looks then! It is full of fashion, lights, ads, people, big businesses and so much more. If you can defiantly take a trip during the day and another at night. They look like two different places. I met the Naked Cowboy here. That was so funny.

Yankee stadium. I must say I grew up loving the Yankees because of my dad. I went to a Yanks- Angles game for my first game and the Yanks-Red Sox game for the second one. They were both amazing game. I love being there. I must say the feeling you have with the Yank-Red Soxs game is different of course from the Yanks-Angles game. This one is more lively and the fans are not afraid of holding anything back. Although the support we have for our team is amazing!

I have gone to high-end stores and tried things on. Hah I wanted to know how it felt to have something that expensive on. The feel of the fabric or material…everything. It was amazing. I had tons of fun.

Intern-Queen party. There was an intern event party. The Intern-queen was there. There were hundreds of interns and want to be interns there. There were recruiters looking for interns and people from different companies talking about what they look for in an intern. A future blog on networking will have this information

Bronx Zoo- this is quite a big zoo. I had so much fun. I love the trail through Asia part best. You get to ride on this air train. You go through the park and see all these Asian animals.

You can go to tons of shows in central park that are for free, you can go to Broadway shows, dancing, comedy shows, take classes, museum, library, statue of liberty, the beach in the Hamptons or Coney Island,  and so much more. There are many package deals on doing tons of things. You just have to be willing to take a change on trying something new because you never know what you may like.

These are just some of the place I have gone to. I hope everyone has an extensive list when they leave NYC!
