And so, a new school year begins.
But for me, it's not at Albright College.
It's at Needham B. Broughton Magnet High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. And I'm excited.
That's right. I've graduated. Packed up. Drove 8 hours. And settled in Morrisville, North Carolina with my fiance. So here I am! I got a job teaching math at Broughton . . . so far, so good. The other teachers are GREAT, and I have a classroom that I've decorated just the way I like it! Tomorrow is the very first day of clas…

final countdown?!? what . . ?
So this weekend was absolutely crazy. Relay was fun -- the weather cleared up and we had fun. I ran into the girl who used to run the Volunteer Center with me. I walked with her for a while just to catch up -- it was really nice to see her!
Saturday was the band concert. It was surprising to realize that this was my last one. I think I'll miss it, but I'm glad that it's one less thing on my plate.
Honors and Awards was really nice -- it's a night where students…

18. 18 days until graduation.
NUTS.
Needless to say, these last few weeks have been crazy. Student teaching is wrapping up -- I only have 7 days left after today. I'll miss the kids here, middle schoolers, but I'll be so glad to be done. I've been teaching all of the classes since mid-March, so it's been a long haul with these guys. PSSAs, assemblies, food fights, a real fight!, and lots & lots of smart board presentations.
I'm also working on my Senior Honors Thesis. It's funny because a…

Hello Everyone!
So yesterday, I went to the Teacher Recruitment Day sponsored by a whole bunch of colleges, including Albright. It's a crazy day with all kinds of school districts there to hire new teachers! There are districts from PA, MD, DE, VA, HAWAII!, and most importantly, NORTH CAROLINA!
That being said, before I got there, Karen Evans, director of the Career Development Center, went to find Wake County Public Schools (the best schools in the state). NC is on the county system, which me…

so it's mid-april (well, sort of). and I can't believe it!
It seems like senior year is flying by. I'm glad, though, too, because I'm sort of ready to take a break from school. It's weird that this is the end. It's been an eventful couple of days, as the school I'm student teaching in has PSSAs, so we've been getting out at 1:10pm. AWESOME :) Really, it hasn't meant any more sleep or anything, just a chance to do some stuff on campus, etc.
This weekend was our initiation of our new sisters. I'…

And can you tell me more about the Athletic band and how it works? Is that like marching band, or do they simply sit in the stands and play music for the team (like a pep band)?
I play French Horn and I'm really excited about meeting my fellow band members.
Is there a reason that there aren't many groups on the FACES account? Do many people know about faces?
Oh, and, Go Class of 2008! : D
What instrument do you play?
Of course we're bored! We miss you and all the other star ambassadors. See you soon!
